Finest Kind Trading Co. LLC Warranty Policy

Warranty coverage depends on the watch and its manufacturer status at the time of sale.

Manufacturer Warranty

When a watch is sold with an active manufacturer warranty, any remaining warranty coverage is administered directly by the manufacturer or its authorized service network under the manufacturer’s terms and procedures.

Finest Kind Trading Co. does not administer or alter manufacturer warranty coverage but may assist the buyer in identifying the appropriate service channel if requested.

Finest Kind Limited Movement Warranty

For watches that are no longer covered by a manufacturer warranty, Finest Kind Trading Co. may provide a limited movement warranty covering unexpected internal mechanical malfunction under normal use.

Unless otherwise specified in the product listing, this warranty applies for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery, as confirmed by carrier tracking.

This limited warranty applies solely to internal mechanical failure of the movement and is not intended to function as a maintenance program, performance guarantee, or service plan.

The warranty is intended to address mechanical malfunction, not normal performance variation, accuracy regulation, or routine servicing needs that may arise over time with mechanical watches.

Warranty coverage applies only to defects that materially impair the mechanical functioning of the watch.

Performance Expectations

Mechanical watches are precision instruments that may experience minor variations in timekeeping depending on wear patterns, environment, and position.

Normal accuracy variation, regulation adjustments, or owner preference regarding timekeeping performance do not constitute mechanical malfunction and are not covered under this warranty.

Routine maintenance such as regulation, cleaning, lubrication, or periodic servicing is considered normal ownership maintenance and is not covered under the limited movement warranty.

Exclusions

This limited warranty does not cover damage, malfunction, or deterioration resulting from:

• normal cosmetic wear to case, crystal, bracelet, clasp, or strap
• accidental damage, dropping, or impact
• improper handling or misuse
• water intrusion or moisture damage
• degradation or failure of seals, gaskets, crown seals, or caseback seals
• magnetization from electronic devices or environmental exposure
• shock from sports, physical activity, or external force
• exposure to extreme temperatures or environmental conditions
• over-winding, improper winding technique, or excessive manual winding
• extreme or abnormal usage conditions
• normal regulation or accuracy adjustment
• routine maintenance, lubrication, or cleaning
• battery replacement for quartz watches
• strap, bracelet, or clasp wear
• aftermarket modification or replacement parts
• servicing, repair, or opening of the watch by any party not authorized by Finest Kind Trading Co.

Vintage watches, when identified as such in the listing, may be sold without warranty coverage unless explicitly stated otherwise. Vintage timepieces may exhibit performance characteristics consistent with their age and collectibility.

Warranty Claim Procedure

All warranty service must be coordinated directly through Finest Kind Trading Co. prior to any repair attempt or shipment of the watch.

Unauthorized servicing, repair attempts, or opening of the watch by a third party voids the warranty in its entirety.

To initiate a warranty claim, the buyer must contact Finest Kind Trading Co. by email at:

info@thefinestkind.com

The following information must be included in the initial claim request:

• buyer name and contact information
• order number or invoice number
• watch brand and model
• watch serial number
• description of the issue being experienced
• photographs or video demonstrating the issue if requested

After reviewing the submitted information, Finest Kind Trading Co. will determine whether the issue may fall within the scope of the limited movement warranty.

If inspection is required, the buyer will be provided with written return authorization and shipping instructions.

Watches should not be shipped for warranty evaluation without prior authorization, as unauthorized shipments may be refused or returned.

All warranty shipments must follow the shipping instructions provided to ensure proper insurance and handling.

Inspection and Determination

All warranty claims are subject to inspection by a qualified watchmaker or service professional.

If inspection confirms a covered mechanical malfunction, Finest Kind Trading Co. will arrange for appropriate servicing or repair.

If inspection determines that the issue falls outside warranty coverage, the buyer will be notified and may elect to proceed with repair at their expense.

Finest Kind Trading Co. reserves the right to determine the appropriate method of remedy, which may include repair, adjustment, or servicing.

Inspection Findings and Latent Conditions

During warranty inspection, it is possible that unrelated service needs or latent conditions may be identified that are not directly related to the reported issue.

The discovery of such conditions does not automatically constitute a covered warranty defect.

In such circumstances, Finest Kind Trading Co. may, at its sole discretion:

• repair the covered issue only
• recommend additional service at the buyer’s expense
• decline warranty coverage where inspection determines the issue falls outside the scope of this limited warranty

This provision ensures that the warranty addresses mechanical malfunction only and does not convert into a general service agreement.

Product Documentation and Verification

Prior to shipment, Finest Kind Trading Co. documents each watch through detailed photography, serial number recording, and condition documentation.

These records may be used during warranty inspection to verify product identity, authenticity, and condition at the time of sale.

Any evidence of altered components, substituted parts, or non-matching serial numbers may result in denial of warranty coverage.

Limitation of Warranty

This limited warranty applies solely to internal mechanical malfunction of the watch movement and does not extend to cosmetic condition, wear components, water resistance, or owner maintenance.

Finest Kind Trading Co. does not guarantee factory timekeeping specifications, chronometer performance, or manufacturer accuracy standards.

The warranty does not cover consequential damages, loss of use, third-party repair costs incurred without authorization, or performance expectations beyond normal mechanical operation.

Warranty Coordination

To ensure proper documentation and service quality, all warranty matters must be coordinated directly through Finest Kind Trading Co.

Failure to follow the warranty claim procedure may result in denial of warranty coverage.

This warranty is provided as a courtesy to support buyer confidence and is administered in good faith under the terms outlined above.

Mechanical watches are precision instruments that require periodic servicing as part of normal ownership, and the limited movement warranty should not be interpreted as a substitute for routine maintenance.
