Verification Standard
Finest Kind verification follows an evidence-based standard.
Findings are derived from physical inspection, measurable performance data, and documented observation rather than assumption or seller representation. When uncertainty exists, it is disclosed. When verification cannot be confidently completed, the watch is not certified. Verification standards, disclosure requirements, and documentation protocols are applied consistently to every transaction. These standards are not adjusted for convenience, negotiation, or marketing. Integrity in high-value transactions requires consistency.

Verification documentation for each watch is retained internally and provides traceability for future ownership, servicing, or resale.
What We Verify
Verification is not limited to authenticity.
Each watch is evaluated across several domains that materially affect value, ownership confidence, and long-term integrity.
Our verification scope includes authenticity, condition, movement health, service indicators, and component integrity. Verification findings are documented and made available for review prior to transaction.
What We Disclose
Finest Kind provides structured disclosures intended to reduce interpretation and clarify the condition and health of each watch.
Disclosures may include:
- Watch information such as brand, model, reference, year, remaining factory warranty, and materials.
- Set completeness, accessories included, authenticity and period accuracy of inclusions.
- Condition documentation and visible wear
- Video evidence of aesthetic condition
- Known service history or servicing indicators
- Pass/Fail of dimensions and weight
- Bracelet/Strap authenticity, completeness, and stretch
- Forensic evidence for the authenticity and accuracy including the dial, case, crystal, bezel, crown, hands, and movement
- Video and documented evidence of complications and functions test
- Magnetization readings and demagnetization evidence
- 6-position timegrapher test showing the lift angle and beat rate tested at, as well as documented results for rate, amplitude, and beat error at each position.
- Vacuum/Overpressure dry water-resistance & tightness test results up to 10 bar (100M)
- Limitations of inspection where applicable
What We Do Not Do
Defined boundaries are essential to maintaining transaction integrity.
Finest Kind does not:
- Certify watches that have not been physically inspected
- Perform service work or polish a watch during Verification
- Authenticate solely from photographs or remote descriptions
- Suppress or alter condition findings whether large or small
- Use marketing language to obscure aesthetic or mechanical condition
- Guarantee future performance beyond defined warranty coverage
Errors And Dispute Resolution
We are human, and no verification system is immune to error.
If a material error in authentication or disclosure is of concern, Finest Kind follows a defined review process:
1. Review Documentation
An in depth review of our reports and evidence as well as our photography and videography records from intake to shipping to determine if something was overlooked.
2. Independent evaluation
When necessary, we may involve an independent 3rd party watchmaker to make an assessment on the authenticity and/or disclosed condition of the timepiece.
3. Material impact
Determination of material impact will be made based on the result of documentation review and evaluation in order to close or remediate the dispute.
4. Resolution
Where a material verification error is
confirmed, appropriate remediation may include repair, exchange, or refund depending on the circumstances.
All disputes are evaluated through documentation and measurable evidence rather than interpretation. Relevant records may include pre-shipment condition documentation, verification reports and performance measurements evidence, serial number records and photographs, and transaction documentation. Independent inspection may be requested when appropriate. This structure protects both parties from subjective claims or post-transaction reinterpretation. The objective is to maintain the integrity of the transaction.
Return Standards
Finest Kind accepts returns under defined conditions designed to balance buyer confidence with transaction integrity.
Buyers are provided a 48-hour inspection period beginning at the time of confirmed delivery to evaluate the watch and initiate a return request if necessary.
- The watch may be inspected but must not be worn, resized or modified
- The watch must remain in the same condition as delivered
- Protective stickers and tags must remain intact where applicable
- All original packaging, accessories, and documentation must be included
All returned items undergo detailed inspection and verification against pre-shipment photographs and documentation. Evidence of wear, tampering, component replacement, or alteration may void return eligibility. In limited cases where an item does not fully meet return standards but is accepted at our discretion, a restocking adjustment of up to 15% may apply. Purchases made through live sales, auctions, or real-time social commerce events are considered final sale transactions. Purchases made through Cryptocurrency or BitPay are considered final sale transactions. Warranty Framework
Warranty coverage depends on the watch and its manufacturer status.
Manufacturer Warranty
When a watch includes an active manufacturer warranty, any remaining coverage is administered directly by the manufacturer under their terms.
Finest Kind Limited Movement Warranty
For watches outside manufacturer warranty coverage, Finest Kind provides a one-year limited movement warranty covering internal mechanical malfunction under normal use.
Our Finest Kind Limited Movement Warranty does not cover normal cosmetic wear, accidental damage or misuse, water intrusion or moisture damage, magnetization or shock, aftermarket modification, or third-party servicing. Wire Transfer
Wire transfer is the preferred settlement method for most transactions due to its speed, traceability, and security.
ACH
ACH transfers may be accepted for certain domestic transactions. Orders may be held until funds have fully cleared.
Cryptocurrency
Cryptocurrency payments are accepted in USDC only. Orders are not confirmed until funds are received. USDC payments are final and not reversible.
Cash
Cash may be accepted for in-person transactions where legally permitted and where appropriately documented.
Credit Card
Credit cards may be accepted after internal review. Transactions may require verification and additional processing fees.
